The crematory is our own and it is on site. Your loved one stays in our care from the first call until the urn comes home to your family, and no part of the cremation is sent to another company.

What should we do when a death occurs?
Call us at (337) 999-0269. We answer 24 hours a day and will guide you through the next steps. If your loved one was under hospice care at home, call the hospice nurse first; if the death was unexpected, call 911. In a hospital or nursing facility, tell the staff you have chosen Colligan and they will contact us.
Can we have a funeral service if we choose cremation?
Yes. Many families hold a viewing and service before cremation, and others gather for a memorial service afterward. Cremation changes what happens afterward, not how a life is remembered.
Why are your prices lower than other funeral homes?
For three plain reasons. We run our own crematory on site, so no part of a cremation is contracted out. Our Broussard building costs less to operate than a large facility in the middle of Lafayette. And we publish our prices, which keeps us accountable to them. A lower price does not mean less care; it means you are not paying for overhead that has nothing to do with your loved one.
