Ponchatoula - Alex Adair Corbin age 53, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, at Our Lady of the Lakes Regional Medical Center, with his beloved son, Santana, by his side. Born with an adventurous spirit, Alex dedicated his life to the oilfield industry, where he built a reputation as a hardworking and reliable employee. Beyond his professional commitments, he was an avid fisherman who found joy in the quiet moments on the water, often sharing tales of his fishing adventures with friends and family. Alex was deeply committed to his community and volunteered with St. Jude’s, embodying compassion and generosity. His heart was especially large when it came to giving the gift of life; as a gracious organ donor, he touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy of hope and resilience. He is survived by his son, Santana Brown of Lafayette, daughters; Savannah Courville of Lafayette and Sabrina Beckham of Lafayette, siblings; David, Derek, Daryl and Deanna Cole ,stepbrother's John Kliebert Jr. and partner Brenda Bergeron, Randy Kliebert and wife Judy, stepdad John Kliebert Sr., loving aunt Sissy Hunter, uncles; Jesse and Keith Powell, cousins Monica Sheppard, Dale Hunter grandchildren; Holden Brown, Madeline Storm and Liam McNeely. He was preceded in death by is adopted father Larry Corbin and mother Nobbie Corbin, brother Oliver Todd Corbin, cousins Nick Abott, aunt Sandy Hurst Brabson and Marie Powell. A celebration of Alex’s life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in his honor. Alex Adair Corbin will be dearly missed, but his impact will be felt for generations to come.
