Delcambre- Betty Trahan Saunier, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, gently closed her eyes to this earthly life and entered into eternal glory on Thursday, August 29, 2024. She was 77 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre, Louisiana. Father Buddy Breaux will officiate the services. Betty is survived by her devoted children, Scottie Neil Saunier and his wife Mary of Youngsville, and Tara S. Menard and her husband Dominic of Delcambre. She also leaves behind two cherished sisters, Debra Fontenot and her husband Jim of Jennings, and Susan Landry and her husband Michael of Erath. Betty was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren whom she adored deeply: Tristan Neil Menard and his wife Natalie, Rani Marie Menard, and Andre Neil Saunier. Betty enjoyed a distinguished career, initially serving as an executive secretary at Tenneco before achieving remarkable success as a top sales director at Mary Kay Cosmetics. In 1989 she became top sales director. In her career, she won 15 cars, including two iconic pink Cadillacs, and garnered numerous awards. Her trademark slogan, “I can sell ice to an Eskimo,” was a testament to her exceptional sales skills and unyielding dedication. Betty was passionate about empowering women to feel confident and beautiful, and her flawless style and warm personality were widely admired. In her leisure time, Betty found joy in tending to her plants and traveling with her family and husband. She was preceded in death by her late husband of 55 years, Charles "Charlie" Neil Saunier, her parents, Louis C. and Dorothy C. Trahan and an infant brother, Bradley. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many family members, friends, and the staff of Heart of Hospice for their compassionate care and support during this time.
