Candace Marie Moore

Candace Marie Moore, age 49, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at her home in Youngsville, Louisiana. Candace was born in Harris County, Houston, Texas, on December 13, 1976. Both Texas and Louisiana were home to Candace throughout her life. She grew up between the two states, spending time with family in both, and ultimately made Louisiana her home, where she raised her children and created many cherished memories. Candace was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister, partner, and friend. She enjoyed many things, including many genres of music, drawing and painting like her mother, spending time with her grandchildren, and caring for her beloved dogs. She was known for her intelligence, creativity, and caring nature. Candace shared more than 20 years with her partner, Erin Pontiff. She is survived by Erin; her brother, Danny R. Moore, Jr.; her children, Alexandra Moore, Trevor Mouton, Hunter Mouton, Brett Benoit, and Blake Benoit; her grandchildren, Cassidy Dauzat, Ella Dauzat, Kolston Dauzat, Violet Mouton, Rylan Mouton, and Kylan Mouton; and her nieces, Emma and Hannah Moore. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Moore Sr.; her mother, Barbara Ellen Vincent Moore; and her grandparents, Whitney and Beatrice Vincent and Jimmie and Geneda Moore. Candace will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. The memories she created and the love she shared will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
