Carl Dean Nero

Church Point - Carl Dean Nero, age 68, passed away on August 10, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family. Carl was known for his outgoing personality, quick wit, and outspoken nature. He had a heart of gold and a joyful spirit that drew people to him. Whether spending time with family, sharing a laugh with friends, or enjoying a good time, Carl lived life fully and without reservation. He is survived by his loving daughters, Crystal Nero Comeaux and Ashley Nero and her husband Mark Harris; his brothers, Hilton Nero, Ronald Nero, and Russell Nero; and his cherished grandchildren, Landon Comeaux, Caden Nero, Jaden Comeaux, Daylen Nero, and Hayden Harris along with numerous nieces and nephews. Carl is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Nero; his parents, Murphy and Naomi Nero; and his brothers, Aron Nero and Carroll Nero. Carl’s memory will be forever treasured by all who knew and loved him. His vibrant spirit, generosity, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
