Carolyn Sue Boyd

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the peaceful passing of Carolyn Welch Boyd. She was surrounded by family & friends until she left us on June 23, 2026. Born on August 14, 1967 in El Paso, Texas to the late Horace and Dorothy Welch, Carolyn went on to spend most of her 58 years in Louisiana. No matter where she was, she remained true to herself. She always carried a loving heart, creative mind, and a fighter spirit within her. Among other things, she was a true friend, an animal lover, and always the life of the party. She believed in second chances, signs from God, living like there is no tomorrow, and being there in someone's time of need. Above all else, she loved her family dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the Welch brothers, Charles, James, Donald, Tony, and Mickey. She is survived by two brothers, Ricky Welch and Bryon Chunn; two sisters, Janice Eaves and Vickie Johnson;first husband & friend Steven Cormier; two daughters, Amber Cormier and Kalynn Stephens; one son, Terry Eaves; six grandchildren, Syrus, Noah, Kaiser, Anzlee, Maggie, and Lucy; and her dogs Zane and Karma; along with many other friends and family who will miss her dearly. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
