Lafayette - A Celebration of Life for Caulette L. Geddes aka Monét, age 61, passed away on April 27, 2025. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 6, 1964. Caulette met her high school sweetheart in Ogdensburg, New York in 1980, where they eventually married in 1982. Caulette was a fitness instructor while her husband served in the US Army. Fort Polk was their last duty station and then settled down in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1990 where she spent her time as a fitness instructor at various gyms and was hired at Fisher’s Child Development LLC in November 2017. Caulette is survived by her husband Charles “Chuckie” Geddes; 2 children, Charles and Crystal; 5 grandchildren, Jaelyn, Kamryn, Braedyn, Wyatt, and Alan; 2 sisters, Michelle and Marie; 1 brother, Tommy; 2 dogs Cozie and Daisy. Caulette was preceded in death by her mother Paula and sister Julie. The Celebration will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Faith Lutheran Church, 104 Rue Fontaine, Lafayette, La 70508 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM with a Memorial Service at 1:00pm Caulette loved spending time with her family and friends, her dogs, all the fitness instructors/participants, and all the children’s lives she’s been a part of. Caulette enjoyed the outdoors, and was a loud supporter of her grandchildren at all of their sporting events “Let’s Go Defense”. Until we meet again Fly High Monét, you will be deeply missed!
