Rayne - Charles Joseph Rogers, age 69, passed away on October 14, 2025, at the Heart Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Charles served his country with honor and carried that same discipline, loyalty, and courage throughout his life. Known for his easygoing spirit, he found peace in listening to music to relax and unwind. He deeply cherished time spent with his family and friends and was a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints — through every season, win or lose. Charles was married to the love of his life, Theresa Rogers, for 52 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. He is survived by his wife Theresa; son, Travis Rogers and his companion Lynn Broussard; daughters, Johanna Rogers and her companion Damien McGee, and Tina Sayers; brothers, Roy Rogers and Timothy Rogers; sisters, Pearl Meche, and Catherine Istre and her husband Wayne. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one on the way, all of whom will carry his memory with them always. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Rogers; his brother, Harold Rogers Jr.; and his sister, Bernice White. A Military Presentation of the Flag and Salute will be held in his honor on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, Louisiana. Charles will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his humor, his devotion to family, and his love for his country. Semper Fi.
