Daniel Venado- Lafayette, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Mexico, Daniel carried with him a deep love for his heritage and faith. A devout Catholic, he was a proud member of St. Jules Catholic Church in Louisiana, where he spent his later years surrounded by the family he cherished so deeply. Daniel was a man who turned his passion into purpose. What began as a hobby—driving buses—quickly became a full-time career, a reflection of his dedication and strong work ethic. He later worked tirelessly in construction for most of his life, never shying away from a hard day’s work. No matter the task, he carried it out with pride and humility. He found joy in the simple things: dancing, attending family gatherings, cheering on his favorite soccer team, Club América, and especially spending time with his granddaughter Gianna Beatriz, whom he lovingly called Gia. He had a unique gift for making friends wherever he went—his warm personality and easy smile made him a best friend to all. Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Venado Ramirez. He is survived by his loving mother Rosa Villegas Soto; his devoted wife, Maria Soledad Sanchez Mendoza; his children, Daniel Venado Sanchez (wife Kayla) and Estefany Yajairy Venado Sanchez; his brother, Alfredo Venado Villegas; his sister, Maria Guadalupe Venado Villegas; and his treasured granddaughter, Gianna Beatriz. Daniel will be remembered for his joyful spirit, unwavering love for his family, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. His legacy of love, strength, and compassion lives on in those who were fortunate to know him. Funeral services will be held at St. Jules Catholic Church, visitation will begin at 2 intil the time of service at 4.
