David Lee Laubach Sr.

Morgan City - David Lee Laubach, Sr., 62, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. Born in Wichita, Kansas, on September 9, 1962, David moved to Morgan City as a child, where he spent the rest of his life surrounded by family, friends, and a community that he loved. David was an avid bowler and a proud member of the Morgan City Bowling Hall of Fame. For over 25 years, he participated in the prestigious USBC National Tournament, showcasing his dedication and skill in the sport. A passionate fan of the New York Jets football team, David was known for his competitive spirit, his loyalty to his teams, and his joyful presence at any event he attended. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin John Laubach and Hazel Marie (McCall) Laubach. David is survived by his beloved children: David Lee Laubach, Jr., Brenna Catherine Laubach, Alexa Celine Laubach and Gabriella Lee Laubach. He is also survived by two brothers, Benjamin Laubach (and his wife Claire) and Gary Laubach, who were his constant companions and support throughout his life. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to David’s children to help defray final expenses. David will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his passion for bowling, and his ever-present smile. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
