February 19, 1974 — August 23, 2024

St. Martinville - Delmus "PieYo" Bonin, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the age of 50. PieYo, as he was affectionately known to all who knew him, leaves behind a legacy of hard work, a love for the outdoors, and a spirit that will be greatly missed. A Burial Mass will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Coteau Holmes Fellowship Church at 10:00AM. Visitation will be Friday, August 30, 2024 from 5:00PM-8:00PM. A true craftsman and enthusiast in the tree industry, he poured his heart into his work, earning respect and admiration for his skill, reliability, and commitment. His hands, worn but steady, shaped not only the trees he cared for but also the many lives he touched through his work. Outside of his professional life, PieYo found immense joy in the great outdoors. Whether he was casting a line into a quiet stream or exploring the woods, he cherished every moment spent in nature. PieYo also held a unique passion for Rooster Fighting. This unconventional hobby was a testament to his vibrant personality and unyielding commitment to his passions. Delmus is survived by his mother Annette Domingue and step father Simon Domingue, sister Danielle Bonin, uncle Perry Bonin and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Shannon Guidry Bonin, father Anthony “DuBoy” Bonin, siblings; Ricky Bonin, Alma “Sis” Bonin and Adonis “Noonie” Bonin. PieYo's spirit will live on in the memories of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, PieYo—you will be dearly missed.
