Mr. Dickie Lee Boudreaux, age 71, passed away on February 24, 2026, in Lafayette, Louisiana at St. Joseph's Carpenter's House. Born on October 26, 1954, in Opelousas, Louisiana, Dickie lived a life filled with hard work, love for the outdoors, and dedication to his family and friends. Dickie spent much of his career working as a lineman for the City of Austin, Texas. His commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to those around him. Known for his willingness to help anyone in need, Dickie never hesitated when someone required assistance—he was always there. An avid outdoorsman, Dickie found joy in hunting, fishing, gardening, horseback riding, and caring for his animals. These passions reflected his deep connection to nature and the simple pleasures of life. He also cherished time spent with loved ones and made it a priority to gather with family for their Wednesday night suppers. Whether sharing a meal or enjoying a night of beers with family or friends, Dickie valued these moments of togetherness. Dickie is survived by his beloved mother, Ruby Stanford Smith; his brothers Randy Boudreaux (Amanda), Dennis Boudreaux (Judy), and Troy Boudreaux; and his sister Tanya Boudreaux Bellard (Daniel); Godchild, Michelle Dukes Puariea (Ed); Godchild, Scotty Boudreaux (Daniela); Godchild, Jacob Bellard (Macey). A special friend, Peggy Dickson. He was predeceased by his father Albert Boudreaux Jr.; brothers Bobby Boudreaux and Tracy Boudreaux; paternal grandparents Albert Boudreaux Sr. and Eva Boudreaux; and maternal grandparents Paul Stanford and Eva Stanford. Dickie's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May the legacy of his kindness and love for life bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. A Memorial Mass will be held on March 4, 2026, at 1:00pm, at Our Lady of Mercy Church 1432 W. Landry Street. Burial to follow Mass at Bellevue Memorial Cemetery. Celebration of his life to be held at 163 Longwood Drive Opelousas, Louisiana.
