on July 10, 2026 and services will take place at 10:00 am. Msgr. Harrington will officiate the services.
Ms. Vincent, affectionately known as the “Cake Lady”, a native of Sunset, LA later moved to Milton, LA upon
marrying her husband Ollie. After his death she resided in Scott, LA at KOA campground for over 30 years.
She retired after 40 years from the Louisiana State Board of Health as a Lab Technician which was her primary
career, but baking and decorating cakes was her passion. She taught her daughter Peggy, her sister (Mary Lou)
and her godchild (Cindy Badeaux) how to bake and decorate cakes. She continued this after her retirement and
well into her 80’s until she just couldn’t do it any longer. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her yorkies
for many years.
Survivors include her 2 children, daughter Peggy, son Glenn (JoAnne) from Gulf Shores, AL,
her one and only grandson whom she treasured, Adam Gilbert (Mitzi), and two great-grandchildren
Addyson and Hymel Gilbert and several godchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Readings will be recited by her two great-grandchildren and the pallbearer will be her grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Ollie Vincent, her parents, Hymel and Bertha Kilchrist,
her sister, Mary Lou Ousley and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A special THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at Summer House/Bailey Place, and Passages Hospice
for the loving care and support they gave her to the very end.
To her friends Lynn and PeeWee Cerenich, and cousin Sidney Janise and wife Denise, thank you for opening up
your homes and caring for her. She also was cared for by her son and his wife until the time that she needed to go
into an assisted living home.
No flowers are accepted at the cemetery per cemetery rules. In lieu of flowers at the columbarium, the family
requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to Passages Hospice.
Per her request, private entombment for the immediate family only will be held at St. John Berchmans
Catholic Church Columbarium Niche.
Her body has been entrusted to Colligan Crematory in Broussard, LA.
