A Memorial Mass (Service) will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday September 12th, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley for Ella Mae Monceaux Harrington, 87, who passed away on Monday, August 17, at her home in Lyons Point. Monsignor Russell Harrington will officiate the service. Ella Mae was born on March 13, 1939, in Leleux, La. She graduated from Crowley High School. As a teenager she worked at Brandt’s Jewelry Store and later returned to work there before the store closed. She also worked for a few years in the 1980’s as dental assistant for Dr. John Taylor. She also worked as a Pink Lady at American Legion Hospital for many years. However, she was primarily a homemaker who loved to cook, especially Sunday dinner for her family. Ella Mae is survived by her husband of 67 years Wilbur Joseph Harrington; five children, Michael Harrington and wife Sharon; David Harrington and wife Angela; Elizabeth (Liz) and husband Chuck all of Crowley, La; Jo Ann Credeur and husband Brian of Scott, La., Paula Harrington Rock and husband Ronald of Rosenberg, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and two sisters Ethal Rose Abshire of Dayton, Tx and Margaret Stewart and husband Anthony of Crowley. She is proceeded in death by her daughter Melissa Cofer and husband Travis, son Christopher Harrington and wife Donna Kay, an infant grandchild Katie Elizabeth Harson; her parents Asa Monceaux and Delta Marie Leleux Monceaux and four siblings Lovelace Monceaux, Nola Abshire, Gardy Monceaux and Helena Monceaux.
