New Iberia - Gaston Segura Jr., age 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2024, at The Calcutta House in Lafayette. His departure marks the end of a life deeply devoted to service and compassion. Gaston was renowned for his unwavering dedication to caregiving. Throughout his life, he lovingly tended to the elderly and sick, embodying a spirit of kindness and selflessness that touched everyone he encountered. His passion for helping others was only surpassed by his profound love for Jesus, which was evident in the way he lived his life and in the countless lives he improved. His warm heart and gentle demeanor earned him the admiration and affection of all who knew him. Gaston’s legacy is one of unwavering devotion, a beacon of hope and care that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of crossing his path. He is survived by siblings Gloria Dean Segura Guilbeau and husband Sydney(deceased), Myrna Segura Marsalis and husband Clarence(deceased), numerous nieces and nephews and a community that will forever cherish his memory and the many lives he enriched with his love and care. He was preceded in death by his parents Gaston Segura Sr. and Annette Landry, siblings; Herman Israel Segura and wife Sandra Savoie(living), and Venola Segura.
