Izzet "Izzy" Tasbasi

Jennings - Izzet Tasbasi passed away on February 24, 2025. Izzy came from his country of Turkey over 25 years ago. He has made many friends/family here in the USA, but his "home" was Jennings, La. where his testimony happened. Izzy only wanted to be seen as a person and the friendship he could offer. He struck up a friendship with a local pharmacy worker, Danielle. Little did she know he would change her whole life in the 3 years she had gotten to him. Izzet sadly had a stroke where there was no local family to take care of him. Danielle stepped up. Everyday he was in the hospital, she was there in the comfort peace of God. Izzet has bought 3 religions, 3 different cultures together and all their lives will forever be changed for the better. Danielle would like to personally thank Monhammed (Jennings Exon Gas Station) for his support, compassion and his friendship he shared with Izzet. The staff at OALH Jennings outpatient pharmacy for always caring for Izzet and being patient with him and last but not less the ICU staff and Palliative team at Ochsner Lafayette General for taking wonderful care of him and the understanding through this whole thing. The Arabic meaning of "Izzet" means honor of faith and glory.
