Jennifer Kaye Laughlin

Jennifer Kaye Laughlin, 62 passed away on Sunday July 9th in Iota, Louisiana. She was a native of Dulac, Louisiana and a 35 year resident of Long Beach, California. Jennifer is survived by her children; Damien "Red" Bruton (Chasity) of Defiance Ohio, Jedediah "Joey" Bruton of California, Chad Laughlin (Kimberly) of Onterio, California, Ronald "Ronnie" Laughlin of Carson, California, Michael Laughlin (Ellaina) of Hawaii, Nicole Hopkins of Los Angelus California, Melissa Hopkins of Minneapolis Minnesota and Sarah Ratchff (Luke Smith) of Tennessee. Brother, James "Bobalew" Laughlin (Pauline), Sister Tracy Laughlin, whom took great care of her until her last breath. Grandchildren; Aaron and Noah Bruton, Ivan, Raelynne, Landen and Logan Laughlin, Cousin Linda Broussard, close friends; Magda Vargas, Jimmy Jones and Cheri Lily, her spoiled cat Snoball and a host of Neices and Nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Joyce Myers Laughlin and Joseph Laughlin, brother Patrick Laughlin and grandson Jonathan Lane Smith. Jennifer has always been a sweet loving person. She loved the outdoors and found joy in caring for all of her cats. She would have given the shirt off her back for those she cared for. She will be missed by everyone who knew her and never forgotten. The family would like to give a special thanks to Lafayette General and Hospice of Acadiana. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
