Jeremy John LeBouef, 47, of Lafayette, Louisiana, father, son, brother, friend, creative savant and struggling human passed from this world on Sunday, August 16 at 8:04 pm.
Jeremy served his country with honor as a member of the 7th Communication Battalion of the Marine Corps. Corporal LeBouef served from 1998 to late 2001 as a Logistics Vehicle Systems Operator.
Jeremy is survived by children Landon (19), Ethan (16), and Brinley (8). Born February 25, 1979 in Houma, to Deitra Falgout and Carroll James LeBouef Jr. Jeremy is survived by both parents, his sister Tawny LeBouef Tullia (Memphis, TN), and his brother, Carroll James LeBouef III (Flower Mound, TX).
My brother struggled with past experiences, his health, and life’s pressures. Through it all, he remained a fierce friend, a guiding light to those who needed one, and a lover of his canine best friends. Jeremy cracked jokes with his often dry humor, loud music, and kind eyes. When he was well, Jeremy’s kindness and humor were infectious. His duck gumbo was perfection; he'd cracked the code on his woodwork designs; and his paintings offered a respite from darkness. He is already so missed.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
