In Loving Memory Erath - Jesse Paul Bertrand, age 72, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospice, The Carpenter House in Lafayette, La. He is survived by his two sons, Mike Bertrand and his wife, Wendy of Delcambre and Travis Bertrand and Husband Joey of Erath; one daughter, Jessica Prieto and husband Tony of Phoenix, Az. and seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Bertrand and Chester Bertrand, both of Erath, to include many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Jean Thibeaux Bertrand and parents, Mr. Solanie Bertrand and Mrs. Alfreda LeBlanc. In life, he was a loyal husband, dedicated father, devoted brother and son, caring uncle, and trusted friend. His laughter could light up a room. He loved without limits and taught us that strength isn't loud or harsh- it's gentle, it listens and shows up day after day. We grieve but we also celebrate a life lived with joy, purpose, compassion and so much love. A man who raised the standards and will always be a perfect example of what all fathers should strive to be. A life that touched ours in unforgettable ways.
