John "Tra" Harris Iii

A memorial service will be held at First Assembly - Youngsville Tuesday September 28, 2021 at 1:00 for John W. “Tra” Harris III 52 of Broussard, who passed away on Thursday September 23, 2021 in Lafayette. Pastor Joey Cormier will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Tuesday until 3:00 PM in First Assembly - Youngsville 3555 Verot School Rd Youngsville, LA 70592 Tra was born in Delhi, Louisiana on March 20, 1969 to John Wesley Harris Jr and Eula Bell Waller Harris and was a resident of Broussard, Louisiana. He was a retired United States Army Veteran and a Prosthetist at the Hanger Clinic for 27 years . Tra loved nothing more than his wife, family and enjoying time on his boat. His pure joy and passion was serving others especially through his work. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Tra is survived by his loving wife Nina B. Harris of Broussard 3 children; Taylor Doucet and wife Courtney of Broussard, Tanner Doucet and wife Taylor of Church Point, daughter Hailey Latiolais and husband Chris of Eunice. Four grandchildren; Quentin, Abbie and Ellis Latiolais, Easton Doucet. He is also survived by his 2 sisters; Dawn Carroll and husband Bradley of Atlanta Georgia, Dana Abraham and husband Chuck McCann of Overland Park Kansas.
