John Edward Loden

New Iberia - John Edward Loden, a beloved native of Alexandria, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the age of 66. John lived a life rich in love, laughter, and dedication. John retired from the City of Alexandria, where he served with unwavering commitment. In his retirement, he embraced his passions with great enthusiasm. He found joy in the arts and crafts he created, the beauty of the great outdoors, and the thrill of adding to his cherished collection of unique items. His spirit of curiosity and creativity touched everyone around him. John's greatest pride and joy were his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. His playful nature and warm presence made him a treasured part of everyone's lives, and his legacy of love and joy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. John is survived by siblings; Jimmy Loden and wife Allison, Mike Loden, Patrick Loden and wife Gabreiale, Linda Chaudoir and husband Bill and Mary McDonald and husband Jim. Along with 2 nieces, 3 nephews, 5 great nieces and 4 great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents James Loden and Ernestine Lawrence Loden. The family extends special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care, particularly Monica Connella and Rebecca Louis, for their compassionate care and support during John’s final days. John Edward Loden’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, whose lives were enriched by his kindness, humor, and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
