Rayne - Joseph Herman Baker III, a longtime resident of Alexandria, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home in Rayne, Louisiana, at the age of 70. Joe, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was born and raised in Alexandria, where he spent much of his life before moving to Rayne. A loving father, brother, and friend, he touched the lives of all who knew him with his kind heart, easygoing nature, and quiet strength. Joe will be deeply missed by his siblings: Richard E. Baker, John M. Baker, and Leala D. Strobel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Beverly Baker, who were a significant influence in his life. Throughout his life, Joe was known for his strong sense of family, his love for the simple pleasures of life, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and a deep sense of connection to the people who mattered most.
