St. Martinville

Judie Ann Frederick, age 87, passed away peacefully at her residence in St. Martinville, Louisiana, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Judie was a loving and caring woman with a beautiful heart who always put the needs of others before her own. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially during family gatherings where memories were made and laughter was shared. Her kindness, generosity, and selfless nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Judie appreciated life's simple pleasures. She loved sitting and watching the hummingbirds and cardinals that visited her yard, finding peace and happiness in their beauty. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time on her iPad completing puzzles and coloring. She also had a special love for lighthouses. In her younger years, Judie and her husband shared many wonderful memories spending time on the water fishing together.

Above all, Judie will be remembered for her beautiful heart, her unconditional love for her family, and her willingness to always lend a helping hand. Taking care of others came naturally to her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wanda Laperouse and husband Lynn, Janet Frederick, Mark Frederick, Brent Frederick, and Leslie Frederick Middleton and husband Patrick; her grandchildren, Kimberlie Borel Delahoussaye, Trent Jude Resweber and wife Tracie, Austin Cade Frederick and wife Summer, Bria Nikka Frederick, Ethan Frederick, Ensley Frederick, Kohen Boudreaux, and Maddox Boudreaux; and her great-grandchildren, Amber Lynn Delahoussaye and fiancé Logan, Kyrie Jones, Kylin Jones, Waylon Frederick, Everette Frederick, and Acadia Ann Frederick.

She also leaves behind her dear best friend, Pamela Kendzie, whose friendship held a special place in her heart.

Judie's gentle spirit, loving heart, and devotion to those she held dear will never be forgotten. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she so freely gave will continue to live on through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
