New Iberia - Karen Ann Triviz, age 71, of New Iberia, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home on March 18, 2025. Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who touched the lives of everyone who knew her with her generous spirit, boundless love, and kind heart. Karen was known for her selflessness and her deep care for others. She was always there to lend a hand or offer a listening ear to family, friends, and neighbors. With a big heart and an open mind, Karen created a warm, welcoming environment wherever she went. Music brought her joy, and she found comfort in the soulful sounds of Stevie Nicks, often filling her home with her favorite tunes. A lover of family history, Karen dedicated many years to collecting family memorabilia, preserving the memories of those who came before her. She also enjoyed shopping and baking, creating delicious treats that brought people together. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and generosity will be missed by all who knew her. Karen is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Rick Triviz; her children, Garrick and Brent Triviz, Keely Sonnier and fiancé Chance; her siblings, Keith Clements, Cheryl Allen, and Janet Smith; her grandchildren, Drew, Drake, Stryker, and Sophia; and her great-grandchildren, Luna and Dalton. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas Clements and Luna Boudreaux; her son, Derek Triviz; and her brother, Darryl Clements. Karen’s legacy of love and kindness will live on through her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
