Kathy Ann Benoit

Youngsville - Kathy Benoit. On the afternoon of September 13th, 2024, Kathy Ann Picou Benoit of Youngsville, Louisiana, passed away at the age of 74, surrounded by family at The Calcutta House in Lafayette, Louisiana. Kathy was born in Houma, Louisiana and resided in Youngsville, LA for the past 11 years. Kathy is survived by her sons, Todd David Benoit and wife Lori, Bryan James Benoit and wife Abbé; grandchildren, Bryce Tyler Benoit, Ayden Matthew Benoit, and Bradley Carson Benoit; niece Shelly Picou Bufkin and husband Andrew; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews and beloved cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Leroy Picou; brother, Chris Picou; and niece, Jessica LeBlanc. Family and friends will miss her beautiful smile and loving heart. Those close to her knew that Kathy was the most compassionate, selfless, caring soul. She enjoyed playing cards, casino trips, and vacationing with her cousins Vicki and Rita. She lived her life until her final breath for her sons and grandsons. Throughout her life she touched so many and will be deeply missed. A celebration of life for Kathy is being planned for a later date. The family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of prayers, support, and well-wishes. The family would also like to thank Dr. Elizabeth LeJeune and staff, Dr. Adam Kennedy and staff, Dr. Frank Courmier and staff, Grace Home Health, Sage LTAC, and the staff of Calcutta House for all the care and compassion through Kathy’s journey. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Acadiana’s Calcutta House in Lafayette, LA in honor of Kathy would be especially appreciated.
