Kenneth Lee Landry, age 84, of Breaux Bridge, LA passed away on 11/26/2024. He was born on 11/2/1940, in Abbeville, LA. Ken is survived by his longtime partner, Evalean Degeyter, her children and grandchildren, and his son, Troy Landry (Daisy). He is also survived by his sisters, Lynn Landry and Pat Parlier (Greg). Ken was preceded in death by his father, Raywood Landry, mother, Laurice Hebert Landry and brother, Rodney Landry. Apart from his immediate family, Ken was a loving father figure to Evalean’s children and an attentive grandfather to their children. Ken was a talker but more importantly, he was a great listener. He always had time to listen to your troubles and give advice. He always treated everyone like family. He served as a helicopter mechanic in Army. After graduating from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts, then graduating from LSU where he received a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare, Ken devoted his life to helping others as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Ken had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He enjoyed reading, watching the news and sports, telling jokes, going to the movies, and singing (especially songs by Elvis Presley). A kind and generous man, Ken’s memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all those whose life he touched and inevitably enriched.
