Ville Platte - Kenneth "Branch" Roberie age 74 passed away peacefully at his son Jason's home on Thursday, December 28, 2023, surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born in Ville Platte, Louisiana and was a life-long resident of his hometown. He was avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting. His favorite place to hunt was Turkey Creek. The location of his hunting spot was his best kept secret. His overall favorite outdoor activity was the camping trips to Chicot Park where he enjoyed cooking and spending time with family. He was the main cook and member of Weekly Men's Supper Club at Mr. Terald Vidrine's outdoor kitchen. Regardless of who's turn it was to cook, Kenneth always arrived early to start prepping and chopping the onions. He was known for his delicious fried fish and rice dressing. He was employed as an offshore cook for J.L.Soileau for many years, and devotedly wore his J.L. Soileau company shirts long after his retirement. Kenneth is survived by his son, Jason Roberie(Lindsey)of Ville Platte; daughter, Susan Roberie of Mamou; brothers, Steven Roberie(Pam) of Pensacola, Fl. and Gene Roberie(Lisa) of Ville Platte. Paw[ Paw Branch will be missed by his grandchildren Sylas Roberie, Lila Roberie, Lucas Roberie, Casey Fontenot and Leeann Fontenot all of Ville Platte. Proceeded in death by his parent Mr. Pershing and Mrs. Eunice Roberie. Family and friends are invited to join the Roberie family for a celebration of life gathering at their home located at 1069 Chauncey Pitre Road in Ville Platte, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a closing prayer to be held at 1:00 PM.
