St. Martinville - Kirk Allen Pellerin, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. He was 57 years old. Kirk was born on February 2, 1967 in Lafayette. He grew up in a loving family alongside his brothers, sisters, and his extended father figure, John Dermody, whom he cherished deeply throughout his life. A man of strong family bonds, Kirk found immense joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a pillar of support and love, always ready with a smile and a story to share. His dedication to family was unwavering and brought him his greatest happiness. In addition to his family, Kirk had a passion for football, particularly the New Orleans Saints. He found great excitement in cheering on his favorite team and sharing in the camaraderie of the sport with friends and loved ones. Kirk will be remembered for his kind heart, his infectious laughter, and his devotion to those he held dear. His legacy of love and family values will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. He is survived by his children; Brent Pellerin, Trent Pellerin and wife Jamie and Hailey Pellerin. Siblings; Alvin Bonin and Angelia Tyler. Grandchildren; Gabrielle and Bailey Pellerin and Kenneth Johnson Jr. He is preceded in death by his biological parents Alvin and Joann Bonin, adopted parents Laurent Pellerin and Lydia Print, extended father John Dermody, siblings; Johnny Bonin and Cheryl Bonin and son-in-law Kenneth Johnson Sr. A Funeral Service to celebrate Kirk's life will be held in the Chapel of Colligan Crematory & Funeral Services on Monday, July 8, 2024 with visitation from 3:00PM-6:00PM Kirk Allen Pellerin will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were privileged to have shared in his life's journey.
