Kylie Marie Guidry, 48, of St. Martinville, passed away peacefully on September 15 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on September 6, 1978, to James and Jeanette Guidry. Kylie was a daughter, sister, fiancée, aunt, great-aunt, and beloved member of her family. She is survived by her parents, James and Jeanette Guidry; her fiancé, Kennan Smith; her sister, Cherise Guidry, and Nookie; her nephew, Connor Breaux, and Annie; her niece and godchild, Kenzie Barras, and Ethan; her great-nephew, Archer Breaux, “Kye Kye’s lil best friend”; her great-niece, Addylyn Lasseigne; and baby Hulin, who is on the way and will grow up hearing stories about Kylie. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Shannon Bonin; her grandparents, Elmer and Cora Melancon and Isley and Dula Guidry; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Kylie faced a difficult battle with courage, strength, and determination. Throughout her illness, she continued to cherish her family, make memories, and remain devoted to the people she loved. Her family will remember her voice, smile, presence, laughter, and the many moments they shared. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. The family extends its sincere gratitude to the caregivers who supported Kylie with dignity and kindness. Special thanks to Dr. Syem Barakazi, Nina Leblanc, PA-C, and the staff on the 8th floor of LGMC. The family is also grateful to Hope Hospice and most importantly to Keenan Smith, who remained by Kylie’s side throughout her appointments, treatments, hospital stays, and final days. His love and devotion meant so much to Kylie and her family. The family also thanks Courtney Smith for her assistance and care. Kylie’s memory will live on through the people who loved her and the memories they shared. Kylie, you fought hard and gave everything you had. Now you can rest. You will always be loved and missed. Until we meet again, our sweet Kylie. In accordance with Kylie’s wishes, she will be cremated. There will be a private service at a later date.
