Erath - Larry James Eddy, 75, passed away on February 6, 2025, at his home in Erath, surrounded by his loving family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Larry's passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him. Born to Jesse and Thelma Eddy, Larry was a man of simple joys. He found great peace in the serenity of fishing, and his love for cooking was rivaled only by his love for spending time with his son, Kory, and his cherished grandchildren. His family was his greatest pride, and he took comfort in knowing that, in his final days, he was surrounded by the people who meant the most to him. Larry's legacy will live on through his wife, Linda Smith Eddy, his son Kory and wife Stephanie, his sister Donna Wiltz and husband John, and his five beloved grandchildren: Dylan, Karlyn, Kameron, Layton, and Jaxson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Thelma Eddy and his baby brother Joseph Eddy. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Hospice Care and Nurse Monica for their unwavering support and compassionate care during Larry’s final days. In lieu of flowers, the family request monetary donations be made to his son Kory Eddy. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held privately by his family. His memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.
