Lavon Blunt, age 30, passed away on January 6. He was born on January 9, 1995. Lavon was a loving father, son, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth to those around him. He enjoyed writing and music and cherished every moment spent with his daughter and his dogs when he wasn’t working. Lavon was known as a hard-working man who never complained, always pushing forward with quiet strength. He truly enjoyed life and was deeply loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Alfred D. Blunt Sr. of Emeryville, California, and Antoinette L. Lewis of New Iberia, Louisiana; his beloved daughter, Amira LaJe Hamilton of New Iberia, Louisiana; his grandmothers, Karen Lewis of New Iberia, Louisiana, and Marie Espinoza of Richmond, California; his brothers, Alfred D. Blunt Jr. of Bakersfield, California, and Worris L. Lewis of New Iberia, Louisiana; and his sisters, Shanikes S. Blunt of Tucson, Arizona, Zoe Blunt of Modesto, California, and Jamesha Harris of California. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Worris Provost of New Iberia, Louisiana, and Seddie Lee Blunt of Oakland, California. Lavon’s memory will forever live on through the love he shared, the life he embraced, and the hearts he touched.
