Lafayette - Linda Gail Richison, 63, of Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025. Born on September 24, 1961, in Lafayette, she was the beloved daughter of Bobby and Rosa Moreau. Linda’s life was one of love, laughter, and deep connections with those around her. Linda married the love of her life, Billy Troy Richison, on September 22, 1979, while working at the Truck Stop. Together, they shared over 40 years of love and companionship. From this union, four children were born: Rosanna Richison Leon, Billy L. Richison (and wife Lacey), Troy Richison, and Joshua Richison. Linda’s devotion to her family was immeasurable, and her heart grew even more when her grandchildren came into her life. She was the proud grandmother to Christian, Genysis, Jax, Erik, Emily, Miah, Richard (RJ), and Devin. Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for crocheting, which she enjoyed until she was physically unable to continue. She also enjoyed playing computer games, often spending hours immersed in her favorite virtual worlds. One of Linda’s cherished pastimes was sitting at her Aunt Bell’s kitchen table, sipping coffee, playing cards, and sharing stories and gossiping. Her love for playing cards with her siblings was a constant in her life, and these moments will be deeply missed. Linda is survived by her children, Rosanna Richison Leon, Billy L. Richison and wife Lacey, Troy Richison and Joshua Richison, siblings Ricky Moreau Sr. and Cheryl Navarre (Wallace), her "sister in love" Chiquita Richison Thompson and husband Charlie, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Billy Troy Richison, her sister Judy Moreau Hebert, her brother Richard Moreau Sr., and her precious granddaughter Anissa Langner. Linda will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her unwavering love for her family, and her sassy spirit that always kept those around her on their toes. Her presence will be missed deeply, but the beauty of her love and joy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Sunday, March 9, 2025, in the Chapel of Colligan Crematory and Funeral Services in Broussard. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Linda’s family thanks everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. May she rest in peace, knowing her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on forever.
