Louella Marie Cox

Louella A. Cox born January 11, 1931 in Welsh, LA living in Lafayette, LA for the past 55 years, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully September 18, 2022 at 91 years. She is survived by family and friends who love her and will miss her every day. She is preceded in death by her beloved, Ernest L. (Red) Cox, her parents Ella and Alvin Arceneaux, two brothers, Noel Lee Arceneaux and Perrin Arceneaux, and one sister, Alvina DeYeide. She is survived by her brother, James Arceneaux, and two sisters, Lydia Ardoin and Anna Whiddon. Miss Lou, as she is lovingly referred, is also survived by her four children and their spouses, Alvin and Beth Cox, David and Tanna Cox, Sam and Craig Salerno, and Jo and Bill Fletcher. Miss Lou has 10 grandchildren, seven have spouses, and 15 great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and countless friends. Miss Lou was a long time member of First Assembly of God Church and was one of the original members of their Tuesday Morning prayer group. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at First Assembly, 3555 Verot School Road, Youngsville, La 70592. A reception will take place from 1-3 with a service by Pastor Joe Cormier beginning at 3pm.
