Mary Lou Sheffield

New Iberia - Mary Lou Sheffield, born in Brownsville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Aubrey and Conception Abundez Sheffield. Was a devoted mother of three who was survived by two sons and one daughter, Arthur, Jason, and Lindsey. A selfless grandmother of six Jayden, Ryan, Jalen, Jacob, Caleb, and Aiden. A beautiful sister to Angie Mata. A loving aunt of three Jennifer, Connie and Monica, and a loyal friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Some may recognize her as the former general manager of Pizza Hut in Corpus Christi of nearly 40 years. She was selfless and willing to help anyone in need. We are so grateful for the time we had with her and will cherish the memories of laughter, love, and joy she brought into our lives. Even in her pain and suffering through the valley of the shadow of death, she made known the Lord was her Shepherd. She loved her family very much and would have done anything for them. That is one thing we can all take from her life was her willingness to sacrifice and help anyone in need with a smile, wanting nothing in return.
