Matthew Blake Champagne

Broussard Matthew Blake Champagne was born in Lafayette on September 19, 1983. Matt was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed spending time with his children on the lake in Toledo Bend, bass fishing. He loved fishing trips to Holly Beach with his dad. He loved cajun cooking and had a special touch when it came to boiling crawfish. Matthew passed away Saturday February 12, 2022 at his residence in Broussard. Matthew is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Paul LeBlanc and his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Larry P. Champagne. He is survived by his wife Jordan Champagne of Pearland TX., four daughters; Kaylyn King of Broussard, Skylyn Champagne of Pearland Tx., Talyn Champagne of Broussard and Avery Champagne of Pearland TX.. One son, Brison Champagne of Pearland TX. His mother, Tracie LeBlanc Bourque and her husband Gervis, "Butch" Bourque, his father Randy Champagne and step-mother Renee' Champagne. Matthew had one sister, Chasity Rae Broussard and one brother, Dustin Blake Broussard, both of Youngsvile, La. he had 3 step-sisters; Krissi Richard of New Iberia, Taylor Murphy and Joani Romero all of New Iberia Services will be held on Thursday February 17, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Colligan Crematory and Funeral Services with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
