Mc Richardson

New Iberia - M.C. "Mike" Richardson, 82, of New Iberia, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in his sleep on this year of our Lord December 14, 2023. M.C. was born on October 6, 1941 in Monroe, Louisiana. M.C. had five siblings, Arbanelle, Marie(deceased), Carolyn, Mavin and James (deceased). He was raised by his Uncle Mac and Aunt Lois Richardson until the age of 18 when he graduated from LaSalle High School. Upon graduating he joined the U.S. Navy where he traveled the world serving as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician and learned deep sea diving skills. As a civilian, he worked in multiple positions in the petroleum industry such as a commercial diver, boat captain, company man and oilfield consultant. M.C. owned and operated several companies varying in technologies such as industrial cleaning supplies, carbon fiber heating elements, industrial water reclamation, drinking water purifications and EPS housing M.C. had ten children, Debbie, Mark, Martin(deceased), Darin, Christine, JR, Crystal, Shannon (deceased), Desiraie, and Nicole. He also had 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. M.C. was active in his local church and made many friends. He loved spending time with his friends and family watching sports, cooking and regaling all in earshot of his many, many experiences of travel and adventure. He also enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family. He had a soft spot for Military Veterans and Commercial Drivers, especially the wounded Veterans. He was an animal lover and cared for many notable dogs and cats over the years, best friends go both ways. He will be greatly missed by many. Rest in Peace M.C. Richardson.
