Lafayette - Mitchell Craig Ogle, age 66, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Mitchell was a longtime resident of Lafayette, where he made lasting friendships and impacted the lives of everyone who knew him. For 40 years, Mitchell worked as a wireline operator in the oilfield, where his dedication, skill, and work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues and peers. Mitchell had a deep love for life, and his passions reflected the vibrant spirit he carried with him. He found joy in riding motorcycles, a hobby that allowed him to experience freedom and adventure. He also had a fondness for collecting guns, a passion he shared with close friends and family. Above all, Mitchell cherished time spent with his children, grandchildren, and close friends. He was a constant source of love and support, a true “golden human being “ whose kindness and generosity were felt by everyone in his life. Mitchell is survived by his children: Amber Benoit (husband Dale), Joshua Ogle, and Charles Glover; his grandsons: Trey and Tyson Martin, Elijah and Macion Glover, and Anthony Cyprion; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Ogle and Ula Constantine; his brother, Keith Ogle; and his sister, Denise Ogle. May Mitchell rest in peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and admired by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
