Patricia Lee Parrott passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Patricia was married to the love of her life, William Henry Parrott, for 57 years, a partnership built on devotion, faith, and mutual respect. Together they created a life centered on family, service, and community.
A graduate of Nicholls State College, Patricia was an accomplished and creative individual. During her time there, she earned numerous honors, including recognition in the Lenox Creative Table Setting Contest. Her appreciation for beauty and detail carried throughout her life, most notably in her gardening. Patricia took great pride in her garden and was honored many times with Garden of the Month awards.
She enjoyed playing tennis and bridge and was known for her warmth, competitiveness, and ability to bring people together. A natural-born leader, Patricia served as president of many clubs and organizations and faithfully taught Sunday school classes, sharing her knowledge and faith with others.
Patricia was a devoted and active member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Lafayette, where her leadership, kindness, and servant’s heart left a lasting impact on her church family.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Henry Parrott; her son, William Parrott III and his wife, Kiera; her daughter, Amy Guidry and her husband, Brian; her brother, Bob Decker and his wife, Charlotte; and her cherished grandchildren, William Henry Parrott IV and Emma Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Martin Decker and Mary Elizabeth Simpson.
An inurnment will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park at a later date.
Patricia will be remembered for her leadership, grace, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family, faith, and community. Her legacy of love and service will continue to live on in all who knew her.
