Rhett Houston Emberly

Broussard - Rhett Houston Emberly was born Saturday evening, November 11, 2023, pre-term, to his mother, Emily Emberly and father, Kenny Emberly of Broussard, Louisiana. Rhett was born with a strong heart and otherwise healthy, despite being too premature - allowing us to experience the gift of our beautiful child finally in our arms after months of joyful pregnancy, planning and dreaming of all the life and memories that would lie ahead with Rhett. Rhett was blessed with the gift of baptism by Fr. Stephen Pellessier shortly after birth at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Later that night, November 11, 2023, Rhett passed away in the comfort of Mommy and Daddy's arms. He bought immeasurable joy to us in his short time here. Rhett, our sweet little boy, you will forever be in Mommy and Daddy's heart. We love you so much. As John Keats wrote, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever, it'sloveliness increases, it will never pass into nothingness." Close family left to cherish's memory include his parents Kenny and Emily Emberly, grandparents, Doug and Liz Emberly, Barry and Tina McCan, aunts and uncles Lauren and Kevin Hartley, Ashley and Daniel Carpenter, Ariel and Richard Emberly and his 10 first cousins, Arthur, and Genovia Emberly, Kelsey, Camden, Addilyn, Kailyn Hartley, and Celeb, Josiah, Madelyn and Joylyn Carpenter. A small service will be held for Rhett and immediate family on November 15, 2023 at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
