Ricky Armentor

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ricky Armentor, who entered eternal rest on July 19, 2026.

Ricky was a gifted musician whose passion for music was evident through his years as a drummer in multiple bands. Whether performing on stage or simply sharing his love of rhythm with others, music was a constant source of joy throughout his life. He was also a talented artist who found peace and expression through drawing and painting, and he enjoyed spending quiet moments taking walks and appreciating the world around him.

Those who knew Ricky will remember him as a kind, gentle, and soft-spoken man with an unconditional love for those around him. He was truly a diamond in the rough—someone who always looked for ways to help others, even during times when he struggled himself. His compassion, generous spirit, and caring heart touched many lives, and his memory will continue to live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and greatly missed.

Ricky is survived by his beloved daughters, Sidney Foreman partner Tayler Brandon and Shelby; his mother, Deborah Phan, and her husband, Nghia, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandson Osiris along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eldridge Armentor of Carlyss, Louisiana; his sister, Tish Welch of Sulphur, Louisiana; his sons, Daxtyn Kier and Davin Kier of Lake Jackson, Texas; his grandfather, Bennie B. Welch of Sulphur, Louisiana; and his grandmother, Loyce Meyers of Sulphur, Louisiana.

Though Ricky's time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the music he created, and the kindness he showed to others will remain as lasting reminders of a life that made a difference. May he rest in eternal peace.
