Grand Coteau – Ricky James Thibodeaux age 66 passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at his sister’s house in Bristol surrounded by family and friends. A Funeral Mass and Inurnment will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:30PM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. Visitation begins at noon until time of service. Ricky is survived by his children; Mathieu Thibodeaux and wife Ariana of Norfolk, Virginia, Maria Thibodeaux and fiancé Dylon Vann of Kittery, Maine, ex-spouse and mother of his children Ellen Thibodeaux of Dallas, Georgia, Siblings; Kenneth Thibodeaux of Grand Coteau, Erroll Thibodeaux of Port Barrie, Dena Briley of Opelousas, Merv Cron and husband Phil of Lafayette, Susan Fontenot and husband Randy of Bristol, Vicky Dohmann of Bristol, Trudy Simon of Youngsville, Tama Collier and husband Dickie of Baton Rouge, Gayle Olivar of San Luis Obispo, California, Sheila Thibodeaux of Asheville, North Carolina and granddaughter Lyla Thibodeaux of Norfolk, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his parents; Berchman Thibodeaux and Mildred Dugas Thibodeaux, brother, Davis Thibodeaux, brothers-in-law, Eddie Briley and Jason Simon and nephew, Timmy Briley. A native of Grand Coteau, Louisiana, Ricky lived for over 30 years in Georgia. Ricky’s passion and love for fishing and hunting was unmatched. Above all, like a true Cajun, Ricky loved grabbing everyone’s attention with stories and bringing memories to life.
