Church Point, LA – Robert (Bobby John) Andrus, a lifelong resident of Church Point, Louisiana, passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 68. A beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Bobby John was known for his dedication to family, his community, and his faith. Born and raised in Church Point, Bobby John was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church where he found strength and comfort throughout his life. His deep sense of service extended beyond the walls of the church as he proudly served his community as a member of the Church Point Fire Department for many years. Bobby John's contributions to his community and the people he loved will always be remembered. He is survived by his son, Robert John Andrus II and wife Emily; his daughter, Kimberly Andrus; his twin sister, Delaine Andrus; and his other sisters, Andi Guidry and husband Roger, Sandy Alrabaa and husband Aouni, and Mandy Matte and husband James (Chubby). Bobby John was a proud grandfather to his two grandchildren, Cohen and Carson Andrus, who brought him endless joy. He is preceded in death by his father, John Albert Andrus; his mother, Rose Marie Melancon Andrus; and his sister, Lorraine LeBlanc. A man of great strength, humility, and faith, Bobby John touched the lives of all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his family and community will leave a lasting legacy. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Church Point Fire Department in Bobby John’s memory. May he rest in peace.
