Robert Douglas Saucier, age 76, was born August 17th, 1949, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He passed away Sunday, December 7th, 2025. Robert was born and raised in Baton Rouge, and later moved to Palmetto, Louisiana, when he was 18 years old. A U.S. Marine Veteran, Robert served his country for 4 years during the Vietnam Conflict. After completing his service, he met his wife Kay in Washington, Louisiana. They were happily married for 48 years. Robert was a lineman and worked for BellSouth AT&T for 30 years. He loved everything fast, from drag races, to boats. Robert also enjoyed fishing, and especially his time spent at Old River, with family and friends. Robert is survived by his son, Michael Saucier and his wife, Kylie; daughter, Laurie Lormand and her husband Aaron; sister-in-law Sherry Lynn Fisher; grandchildren, Olivia Lormand, Garrett Lormand, Kale Lormand, and Valerie Saucier. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Kay Saucier; parents, Leslie and Helen “Bess” Saucier; sister, Nancy Scott; sister-in-law, Rose Latiolais; brothers-in-law, Jack Fisher, and J.A. “Latch” Latiolais, and his Grandmother, Myrtle “Tut” Woodard.
