Rosaline Lanclos Dupre

July 3, 1962 — October 9, 2025

New Iberia - Rosaline Lanclos, affectionately known as “Moon” to all who cared for and loved her, passed away after a life filled with creativity, warmth, and faith. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at The Community Church Center in New Iberia, La. from 11:00am-1:00pm. Moon was best known for her vibrant personality and many passions — she enjoyed crafts, gardening, reading, writing, music, and meeting people. A talented cook, she graduated from culinary school with a specialization in pastry making and worked professionally as a chef for a time. Her kitchen was always a place of joy and comfort for those lucky enough to share a meal with her. She loved spending time with her mother, often calling many times a day just to talk or share stories. Moon spoke often and lovingly about her granddaughters, Ashleigh, Emleigh, and Tinleigh, and her heart ached for the moments she couldn’t share with them. She cared deeply for her son, Wayne, more than anyone could ever know — her diaries stand as a testament to her enduring love and her constant prayers for his wellbeing and happiness. Moon was always ready for an outing, whether it was thrifting, antiquing, or dining out. She was a child of God who leaned on her faith through life’s many challenges, praying for strength and guidance as she walked her path. Despite the hardships she faced, Moon was known for her optimism — always finding the silver lining and choosing to look on the sunny side of life. She was a believer in Christ and we find peace in knowing she is now in Heaven, reunited with her beloved dog King Henry, her father whom she lost in childhood, her grandparents, and many other cherished loved ones. Survivors include: Her son, Wayne; Granddaughters Ashleigh, Emleigh, and Tinleigh; Mother Loyce Ann Buck Lanclos; Sisters Rhonda Lanclos, Robin Harget, and Roxane Lanclos. She was preceded in death by her father, James Wilson Lanclos, Jr. A resident of New Iberia for the past 30 years, Moon will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and her enduring faith. Dear God, please receive your child.
