Sharla Marie Leleux

Lafayette -Sharla Marie LeLeux. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sharla Marie LeLeux, who left us on January 4, 2025, at the age of 45. Sharla was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Sharla was known for her vibrant, bubbly personality that could light up any room. She had an infectious energy and a heart full of love for her family. Above all else, Sharla treasured the time spent with her daughters, Caslyn and Maya, and was most at peace when she was simply sitting and listening to them talk. Sharla’s family and friends often lovingly referred to her as the "Crazy Cat Lady," a title she wore with pride, as her love for animals was matched only by her passion for her family. When she wasn’t tending to her furry companions, Sharla enjoyed simple pleasures like watching movies, listening to music, and coloring—activities that allowed her to express her creativity and unwind. Sharla is survived by her daughters, Caslyn and Maya Suire; her father, Richard LeLeux; her siblings, Richard Dale LeLeux and Shara LeLeux; and her beloved grandchildren, Freya, Astrid, and Lucas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Cara Blanchard and brother, Damon LeLeux. She also leaves behind a wide circle of extended family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. While her time with us was far too short, Sharla’s love and joy will continue to inspire those who knew her. Rest in peace, Sharla. Your laughter, kindness, and love will never be forgotten.
