Sherry Jones Breaux

Sherry Jones Breaux, 73, of Baton Rouge, La., passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love. Sherry was born on November 14, 1952, to June Hidalgo and Johnny Jones. She graduated from Berwick High School in 1970. Sherry dedicated her life to raising her three children. Sherry was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dale Breaux, and her children, Dawn Andrus Schwartz (Chris Schwartz), Stacy Breaux Brown (Stephen Brown), and Nicholas Breaux - Fujita (Dr. Sohei Breaux - Fujita), and her grandchildren, Sebastian Schwartz, Wesley Brown, Elise Brown, and Nicholas (Nico) Breaux - Fujita III, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin Jones, and her niece and nephews, Chelsea Jones, Kyle Jones, and Brian McConnell II. She was preceded in death by her parents, June Hidalgo, Ken Hidalgo, and Johnny Jones, and her sister, Deborah McConnell. Sherry will be remembered for her dedicated involvement in her children’s school activities and hobbies as they grew into adults. She cherished watching her grandchildren participate in their school and sport activities. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, March 23rd, at St. George Catholic Church. Visitation begins at 9:30 am followed by the service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery.
