Lafayette - Tammy Richard , beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend , passed away suddenly at the age of 57 at Ochsner's Lafayette General Hospital. Tammy was the proud mother of Brandi Wells and Tara Wells. And a devoted grandmother to Brookelynn, Collin and Connor. Her love and care for her family were evident in everything she did, especially in the warm meals she prepared, with red beans and rice being a household favorite. Tammy shared a special bond with each of her grandchildren. She always reminded Brookelynn, " You are NaeNae's baby girl", and never failed to tell her how beautiful she was. Connor will always cherish the time they spent together on Christmas day and how Tammy went out of her way to make him feel her love she had for him. Tammy had a passion for the simple joys in life- coffee in the morning, time with her family, and the company of her beloved cat , Annie. She was full of life: loving, and always able to find laughter in difficult moments. Her daughter Tara remembers her ability to bring humor into any situation, no matter the circumstances. She shared a special bond with her sisters, often reminiscing about childhood adventures with joy and laughter. Tammy is also lovingly remembered by her former husband, Kenny Wells, who remained a close part of her life. Tammy had a special bond with her niece Elizabeth King and great niece Amarah King. Tammy touched many lives with her kindness, humor, and spirited personality. She will be deeply missed and remembered by family and friends who loved her so dearly. She is proceeded in death by her father, Mack Ray King Jr. , her younger sister Brenda King (Sons) and her beloved grandmothers Viola Cunningham, and Lillie Mae Grissom Parham, grand father Charles Howard and great grandmother Naomi Doss Hearod. She is survived by her children, Brandi Wells, Tara Wells and her sister Wendy King. . Tammy leaves behind her precious grandchildren : Brookelynn, Connor, Collin, Ryken, Nash, Charlie Rae and Phoneix. Tammy will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with family at McCain's Cumberland Presbyterian Church cemetery in Columbia, Tennessee.
