Thelma E. Avant

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 15, 2023 in the Chapel of Colligan Crematory & Funeral Services at 2:00 P.M., the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Thelma E. Avant, 70 of Lafayette was born on November 29, 1952 in Welsh La. to Joe and Eva Lablanc Ewing. Thelma was a dispatcher as well as a truck driver for 15 years as well as a bar tender at El Sido's. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Eva Ewing and her brothers; Raymond and Joseph Ewing. Thelma is survived by three sons; Hector Chevelle Broussard, Cory Michael Cunningham and Jory Michael Cunningham, a daughter, Lory Lynn Theriot and sister Joyce Meche. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Sapphire and Chevelle Broussard, Alexia Thomas, Autum Cunningham, Raven Simone, Chance Cunningham, Nikia Boutte and D'aun Brooke Thomas and four great-grandchildren
