New Iberia - Theodore Robert Blair age 81, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving son, Theodore Blair Jr., and family. A memorial Service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00AM at The Faith Cathedral World Outreach Center in New Iberia. Bishop Drew Rousse will officiate the service. Born on May 5, 1943, Theodore was a devoted family man, a proud veteran, and a friend to many. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retiring after 20 years of honorable service. His dedication to his country was unwavering, and he carried the values of discipline, duty, and loyalty throughout his life. Following his military service, he worked in the oil and gas industry for over two decades, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues and made lasting contributions to the industry. Outside of his professional accomplishments, Theodore found joy in a variety of pursuits. He was an avid pool player, spending countless hours at home playing, where he forged friendships and created cherished memories. He also had a deep love for fishing, enjoying time by the water, and always seeking moments of tranquility in nature. His love of travel allowed him to experience new places, cultures, and adventures, often accompanied by those closest to him. A man of deep faith, Theodore devoted his life to God and was a dedicated member of his church, attending services regularly and living his faith through acts of kindness and generosity. His spiritual life was a central part of who he was, and his belief in God guided him through every step of his journey. He is survived by his son, Theodore Blair Jr., and his wife, Alice Marie; his granddaughter, Kathleen Champagne; and his great-granddaughters, Hailey, Jade, and Amber. Theodore was preceded in death by his parents Maynard and Nellie Blair. Theodore's legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
