Verneal Scott

Verneal Scott ,65 a lifelong resident of Crowley, La. passed away on Thursday August 24th, 2023 in Lafayette at the Calcutta House under the care of Hospice of Acadiana. A Memorial Mass will be held this Saturday , September 2, 2023 at 11:00 Am in the Jerusalem Baptist Church located at 927 West Seventh St. Crowley , La. 70526. Verneal was an active member and usher of Grace Bible Baptist Church in Crowley, La. She was a 25-year member of the Seventh District Missionary Baptist Auxiliary. Verneal was always willing to help those family members and friends that needed help or guidance. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Verneal is survived by her son, Lance Scott of Crowley, and siblings Willie Morgan Jr. and wife, Joanne of Crowley, Dwight Scott of Crowley ,Dexter Scott and wife, Cynthia of Crowley, Tony Scott and wife Caroline of Rayne and Tanyun and husband Danny Fortnette of Port Arthur, Texas. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Florida Scot and parents Willie and Florida Morgan. Along with siblings, Donald Morgan, Vanessa Morgan, Dawanna Morgan Wilbert and Callie Kennerson.
